Langston Lake Fishing Guide: White Bass, Catfish & Access

Lake Langston is a 282-acre lake in Logan County, about a mile and a half south of State Highway 33 on Henney Road. It has nearly nine miles of shoreline and reaches a listed maximum depth of 47.9 feet. ODWC reports that the City of Langston manages the boat ramp, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, and pavilions.

Fish and habitat

ODWC identifies white bass and channel catfish as species of interest. The department conducts periodic surveys and places brush piles for anglers; fish stockings are also part of lake management. For white bass, search open water and points, using small spoons, jigs, or other lures that let you cover water. For channel catfish, fish bait near the bottom around deeper edges or channel features. The department does not publish a detailed current lake-specific pattern, so treat these as starting approaches and adapt to conditions.

Access and facilities

The City of Langston operates the public facilities, including a boat ramp and picnic areas. Confirm current opening, launch, and park details with the city before traveling. The lake’s brush piles can be useful fish-holding structure, but use current habitat maps or local guidance where available rather than assuming exact locations.

Before you go

Check ODWC’s Langston Lake page for current access and species details, and consult the City of Langston for local facilities and rules. Review current Oklahoma fishing regulations and license requirements before your trip.
