918 fishing was founded by 3 friends that love to fish back in 2019. The founders of 918 fishing are Aaron Newton, Yia Xiong and Peter Thao. We started a YouTube channel to show how good Oklahoma fishing can be. The idea was to go out and catch as many fish as possible. We usually get distracted and start goofing off. I’m not sure if the fishing brought the viewers back of if our antics did lol. With Covid hitting shortly after the channel was founded it made filming video’s much harder as you can imagine. We tried to still go out but 3 people in an 18ft boat didn’t make for the best social distancing. Instead we had to switch it up and start pond fishing more so we could distance appropriately. This is what led Aaron Newton to start Oklahoma Fishing Adventure.
Now we have plans to use both channels to fish 918 fishing style videos. Then Oklahoma Fishing Adventure will break down the fishing details to show what worked and what didn’t. This will bring the best of both worlds to you. We always have an adventure every time we go fishing. If nothing else you will probably laugh at our expense.
